Adligenswil, Switzerland, September 2023 - Sekisui Alveo, European manufacturer of high-quality polyolefin foams, has fully aligned its Alveosport product line with its corporate branding scheme. The company’s proven shockpad for synthetic turf systems has now been added to its corporate website. As of September 4, the previously separate Alveosport website will automatically redirect to the new section of the Sekisui Alveo website.

Alveosport is Sekisui Alveo’s patented product designed especially for use as a shock-absorbing layer in artificial turf systems. This high-performance shockpad is in service in many dozens of top sports fields around the world and has been well proven through decades of use, meeting the most stringent technical and professional requirements.

Alveosport is a special product within Sekisui Alveo’s extensive range of high-quality cross-linked polyolefin foams. In the past, some of these special products were marketed with their own individual branding, including separate websites. Over the years, these products had been integrated into the overall Sekisui Alveo brand – except for one: Alveosport. Now the Alveosport product line is being fully integrated into Sekisui Alveo’s overall branding programme. Alveosport has been newly added to the Sekisui Alveo website and the associated documentation has been revised to align with the Sekisui Alveo branding.

Change in branding, not the product

What does this change mean for customers? Firstly and most importantly, the product itself has not changed. The manufacturing plant, terms of delivery, and the sales and support teams also remain unchanged. Customers’ points of contact remain the same.

The essential change is the website. The Alveosport web pages and documentation have been revised in line with Sekisui Alveo’s corporate design, with new key visual, new pictograms, and of course the Sekisui Alveo corporate logo.

Proven, high-quality product

Alveosport is an exceptional product within the Sekisui Alveo portfolio. It has earned a very high reputation in the global market.

Alveosport provides optimized performance in artificial turf systems and meets the most stringent requirements, including EN standards and the FIFA Quality and Quality Pro certification. It has been well proven through use in synthetic turf fields for soccer, hockey, rugby, baseball, and Gaelic & American football, as well as playgrounds and multisport fields. The key technical properties include dimensional stability, low water absorption, good vertical drainage, and extended durability. Technical performance of the material remains constant throughout the long lifespan of the product. Sekisui Alveo’s technical support team coordinates the system design with the grass carpet manufacturer to achieve the optimum design for each individual field.

Minimized environmental footprint

The high-quality product is manufactured in the heart of Europe, so transport distances to European sites are relatively short. The shockpad is fast and easy to install and it promises extended durability. In fact, it comes with a warranty of two lifetimes of the artificial turf carpet, so when the original grass carpet has to be replaced, the shockpad can remain in place. Alveosport is made of closed-cell polyethylene foam – a homogeneous material that can be easily recycled. The product boasts an outstanding environmental profile; there is no release of harmful substances or gases. The optimized shockpad performance supports the trend towards non-infill systems. And the latest improvement is that the packaging now consists of 1/3 recycled material.

Certified sustainability - ISCC PLUS

Like many of Sekisui Alveo’s foam products, Alveosport is available in the standard grade as well as the ISCC PLUS certified grade. ISCC PLUS certified foams boast a reduced carbon footprint in comparison to the standard grade. These certified foams are manufactured using bio-circular mass-balanced materials, which conserves fossil resources. ISCC PLUS certified foam products allow customers of Sekisui Alveo to choose sustainable products and communicate related information which is credible, transparent, and verified by a qualified third party.
