Foods and cosmetics retain their freshness due to improved packaging seals
Lucerne / Düsseldorf, 24 October 2007 – Protection from environmental influences and contamination, the retention of quality – these are the tasks for packaging in the food and cosmetics industry. Therefore the quality of packaging material must be accordingly high. Seals play a decisive role: do they still seal well after first being opened or are they permeable to air, moisture and micro-organisms? With Alveolit TA SF, Sekisui Alveo, manufacturers of polyolefin foams, has developed a sealing material which optimally fulfils the requirements of the foods and cosmetics industry as well as the international guidelines. The punched seals, consisting of soft elastic foam, are not only used for bottle lids but also for cosmetic containers. The Sekisui Alveo booth C 45 in Hall 8a at the K 2007 will inform those interested on the new foam Alveo-Bloc, which enables voluminous packaging and padding.
